The sun's rays shone down on the lone wolf, a gold gleam returning the ever powerful heat. The wolf's dense coat made the journey almost perilous, espeically with the dark colors that blended into the coat of many colors. Fenris's snout was pressed to the ground, sniffing for any scent of an alpha male, but his search brought unseccessful results. Good, there was no alpha male here. Otherwise Fenris might be killed or driven away from the packlands for tampering with the pack alliance. Oh well, might as well try. He didn't fear death. Fenris plopped down on the ground in a howling postion that was unfamilar to him, and with a clearing of the throat, he let a long howl erupt from his vocal chords and grace the woods. The howl was a territorial howl, one of joining and new life, the one that signaled the alphess or the closest thing to her. Rei soon came up to the wolf panting some, her auds pinned against her head, she looked at him. '' And what might you want brute?.'' She murmered and gave a brief chuff of welcome. Her tail raised she awaited his answer, kissers curling back almost revealing her sharp fangs, but he didnt seem to be a threat. He'd learned the hard way in the streets that way. Never act smart around a true brute, without a brain. If they could talk and not go "Doggie going to be eaten" and start chanting it, he considered them worthy. Acceptance. Dominance. The will to protect a family. he rittled off a few on his list for the she-wolf, hoping to convince her. By her sound of welcome, he guessed he was as good as in, but Fenris did have those horrid doubting problems. Seeing the she-wolf pull back her lips in a dominant showing of the fangs, he smiled. Those won't be neccisary he said, his deep voice daring her to trust him. The she-wolf didn't seem to be threatening him, more the envoirment. So basically the big bad Boogie Man was going to come out and eat him? Right, he'd like to see him try. The she-wolf turned, her tail flicking as if to tell him to follow her through the bushes. Rei started to walk, auds perked she was still alert, like always. Rei remember when she and her brother were pups, he kept argueing with himself and she was always playing with the others in the pack, and when they both got kicked out for their split persona's. She kept on walking though. He wasn't one to disobey and he followed without a word, inwhich he would have said something idoitic. His ears were perked and his hackles were raised, the she-wolf seemed to be anxious in her own territory, so he decided to be cautious. Fenris looked around, almost gaping at the trees and such. It was so different from everything in his childhood from the Oosana Mountains to the Forests of many of his travels. He took one last glance around, realizing he had fell behind, and ran to caught up.
